Assent, the word can be used either as a noun or as a verb.

Meaning as a noun:

Official approval of a request, idea or plan.

(কোন অনুরোধ, ধারণা বা পরিকল্পনার লিখিত বা দাপ্তরিক অনুমোদন।)

Example:

• The company gave assent to his proposal.
• The certificate should contain the varsity’s chancellor’s assent.
• We can think of going ahead with the plan after getting the chairperson’s assent.

To officially approve or agree to something.

Meaning as a verb:

1. Having the same opinion about something.
