Meaning as a verb:
To agree or to accept or submit or comply unwillingly or silently.
(অনিচ্ছাসত্ত্বে বা নিশ্চুপভাবে সম্মত হওয়া বা মেনে নেয়া)
Example:
- Samina acquiesced to stay there because of the stormy weather.
 - Finding no other way, he acquiesced to come with us.
 - Trina’s father did not want to go at to that place, but he acquiesced to go there because of his daughter’s wish.
 
Assent
Assent, the word can be used either as a noun or as a verb.
Assent, শব্দটি noun অথবা verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
Meaning as a noun:
Official approval of a request, idea or plan.
(কোন অনুরোধ, ধারণা বা পরিকল্পনার লিখিত বা দাপ্তরিক অনুমোদন।)
Example:
- The company gave assent to his proposal.
 - The certificate should contain the varsity’s chancellor’s assent.
 - We can think of going ahead with the plan after getting the chairperson’s assent.
 
Meaning as a verb:
To officially approve or agree to something.
(লিখিত বা দাপ্তরিকভাবে কোনকিছুকে সম্মতি বা অনুমোদন দেয়া।)
Example:
- Has the chairperson assented to the plan?
 - The company assented to his proposal.
 - The varsity’s chancellor assented to the certificate.
 
Agree
Agree, the word is used as a verb.
Agree, শব্দটি verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Meaning as a verb:
1. Having the same opinion about something.
(কোনকিছু সম্পর্কে একই মতামত পোষণ করা)
Example:
- I agree with you that she is an outstanding performer.
 - All of the students agree with us on this issue.
 - I can’t agree with you on this point.
 
2. Deciding something together.
(একসাথে কোন সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া)
Example:
- They agreed to go with us on a picnic.
 - We agree to do the work together.
 - I agreed to go shopping with her.
 
3. To comply with an idea or suggestion.
(কোন ধারণা বা মতামতকে সমর্থন করা)
Example:
- We suggested them to arrange the program tomorrow, and they agreed.
 
4. Being the same.
(একইরকম হওয়া)
Example:
- if the subject of a sentence is plural, the verb will also be plural agreeing with the subject.
 - In a sentence, the verb will always agree with the subject.
